A single unified switching DEFINITY platform for voice, data and video solutions meets the requirements of both small business (from 40 ports), and major companies (up to 29,000 ports). Moreover, thanks to unified control through RISC processor, control multifunctionality and uniformity is guaranteed regardless of the capacity of the system.
DEFINITY supports all the major public network connection interfaces, including ISDN, Q-SIG, as well as Russian analog and digital trunks.
DEFINITY model range
Definity is the first AVAYA system providing full support for digital network with integration of ISDN services into a single system from 20,000 to 29,000 ports. Definity provides its subscribers with access to network services through two main ISDN interface – BRI (basic rate interface) and PRI (primary rate interface). The availability of ISDN node services allows the best use through ISDN connection with full transparency of telecommunications functions from the called party to the calling party. Broadband switching is used for applications that require a higher (above 64 kbit/s) bandwidth, such as in video transmission and connection of computer networks. Broadband switching supports H0, H11, and H12 standards, and developed ITU-T. Transmission at ISDN-PRI rates is more efficient, which means much faster connection rates thanks to lesser time of synchronizing several B-channels, and reduced use of digital channels, freeing them for other connections.
